As you drive down and catch your first glimpse of the Leatherne Bottel you can’t help but feel you have stumbled across a very special place indeed.
The historic riverside pub has been transformed into a contemporary riverside restaurant with southern Italian cuisine, superb wines and a relaxed, convivial vibe.
Renamed Rossini at the Leatherne Bottel in 2014, the restaurant is now run by Maurizio who treats guests to a wonderful culinary experience while making them feel instantly at home.
Head Chef Almerindo learned his trade on the Amalfi Coast and delivers a true taste of this fabulous part of Southern Italy through his authentic Italian cuisine.
The restaurant is owned by well known entrepeneur and Chairman of Reading Football Club Sir John Madejski who said in a recent interview with the Sunday Telegraph.
